Life Coach, Corporate Coach
Good enough isn't, and you know it...
Steve Piacente began Next Phase Life Coaching in 2016. Steve, also a media and presentation coach in Washington, D.C., is a former journalist who spent 10 years as a speechwriter and communications manager in the federal government. Steve holds a Masters in fiction from Johns Hopkins University and has published two novels. He also teaches at his undergraduate alma mater, American University.
How I can help
The clash between tradition and technology has touched off seismic changes in the communications industry. Stress and uncertainty are higher than ever among pros already anxious about tight deadlines, dwindling resources, and demanding clients and audiences. Steve created Next Phase Life Coaching to help communications pros – in journalism, public relations, and related fields, including fiction and non-fiction authors - step away from the crush of daily business and navigate common pain points such as job security, professional satisfaction, and work-life balance. A one-time Washington Correspondent whose job was axed because of budget cuts, Steve today is a media and presentation trainer, author, and adjunct professor. He has also been a speechwriter and communications manager in the federal government. Most people have two lives – the one they’re living and the life of their dreams. But everyone only gets one shot at life. So why waste a single day not doing what brings you the most fulfillment? As your coach and partner, my mission is to help you identify and achieve your goals, to see obstacles as opportunities, and most of all, to enjoy the journey. Together, with a blend of pragmatism, humor and honesty, we will create and act on your ideal vision of achievement, balance and satisfaction.
